Election Commission has issued notice to the AIADMK-Puratchi Thalaivi Amma faction led by O Panneerselvam to reply to the charges of misuse of its symbol in the campaign for the Dr Radhakrishnan Nagar bye-election in Tamil Nadu. <br/><br/>The splinter group of the erstwhile AIADMK has been allotted "electric pole" symbol. However, it was charged that the party tries to project it as the resemblance of the parent party's famous "Double Leaf" symbol to influence the voters unduly. <br/><br/>In its notice, the Commission said that after inquiries and processing of some of the social media posts and other campaign materials found the complaints of having substance. It has asked its presidium chairman and the bypoll candidate E. Madhusudhanan to reply by 9 am on 3rd of this month.
