The Election Commission has issued notice to the AIADMK 'Amma' faction led by Ms VK Sasikala over misuse of symbol. The splinter group of the party is said to be portraying the 'double leaves' symbol of the parent party the AIADMK in its official website and social media. The faction has been allotted 'hat' as its symbol after the freezing of the double leaf symbol following a split in the party after the demise of its leader J.Jayalalithaa. The Election Commission in its notice addressed to the party's Deputy General Secretary and the RK Nagar bye-election candidate TTV Dinakaran has asked to furnish its reply by 11 am on 6th of this month.
