EC instructs to impose covid norms strictly in polling booths in West Bengal

<span style="color: #222222;">In West Bengal, the Election Commission has instructed to impose covid norms strictly in the polling booths during the upcoming assembly election of the state.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The full bench of ECI led by Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora along with Deputy Election Commissioner Sudip Jain had arrived in Siliguri today where they reviewed the poll preparedness ahead of the assembly polls to be held from 27th of this month.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a virtual meeting with all District Magistrates and police Supers of the state in presence of four special observers appointed by commission.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The ECI instructed to ensure maintaining social distancing, wearing mask, using of sanitizers in the polling booths.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The commission has also asked the district administration to procure PPE kits and machineries for thermal scanning in the polling booths.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The commission also put special emphasis on the proper use of the Central paramilitary force deployed for conducting free and fair elections.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The full bench of Commision is also scheduled to meet the Chief Secretary and DGP of the state regarding the poll preparedness.</span>
