Election Commission today held a meeting with Chief Electoral Officers of poll-bound States to fine tune the arrangements. These States are Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa. Sources said, at the meeting in New Delhi, the assessment of the law and order situation, deployment of polling personnel, safety and electronic voting machines and implementation of the model code of conduct came up for discussion. Besides, the law and order situation in Manipur due to road blockade by some Naga groups was also discussed.
