In Assam, the full bench of the Election Commission is holding meeting on poll preparedness in Guwahati now on the last day of its two day visit. Deputy Commissioners, SPs and election officers from districts where polls will be held in the second phase, have taken part in today's meeting.The Commission will also meet state Chief Secretary V K Pepersenia and DGP Mukesh Sahay to review law and order and other issues. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, today is the last date for filing of nominations for the second phase of polls to be held on 11th of April in 61 seats.On the other hand,541 candidates are in the fray in the first phase of polls. First phase of polls will be held on 4th of April.
