The Election Commission has directed, MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha from Bihar not to release fresh release of Local Area Development Fund in view of assembly elections. In a letter addressed to the Chief secretary the commission further said no work will be started after notification of the elections. These work can start only after completion of poll process. However, if work has actually started, that can continue. There shall be no bar to the payment for completed works subject to the full satisfaction of the concerned officials.
