<span style="color: #222222;">Maldives opposition has alleged that country's Elections Commission (EC) has been directly involved in voter fraud for the upcoming Presidential elections. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A statement by Joint opposition today said new audio recordings strongly suggest that the supposedly independent electoral body is colluding with President Abdullah Yameen to steal the elections. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It said the audio recordings suggest that the EC handed over opposition voter re-registration forms to President The statement added that Elections Commissioner Ahmed Shareef is a former senior official of President's  political party, and EC is stacked full of other government-appointed cronies.
