<br/>The Election Commission of India has censured Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President D Srinivas for violating the Model Code of Conduct. The Commission has reprimanded the Congress candidate from Nizamabad-Urban assembly segment in the ensuing by-election for violating the code by appealing voters in the name of caste at a recent meeting. The Commission has decided to censure Srinivas for violating the model code of conduct after a thorough scrutiny of newspaper and video clippings of his speech at the meeting. A letter has been issued on Tuesday night to this effect. <br/><br/>Earlier, a complaint was lodged by Kavitha, daughter of Telangana Rastra Samithi President K Chandra Sekhara Rao seeking the Commission to disqualify the PCC president for his violation of code of conduct.
