In Jharkhand, the Election Commission has banned sale of onions at discounted price by NAFED and BISCOMAUN after receiving a complaint from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, JMM. The party in its complaint had said that selling onions at cheap rate is a violation of model code of conduct. <br />'' <br />'' Jharkhand Chief Election Officer Vinay Kumar Choubey said, show cause notice has been given to NAFED and BISCOMAN in this regard. Agencies have been asked to reply about who will bear the cost of the subsidy. <br />
