In Bihar , scrutiny of the nomination papers for 47 seats in the first phase of Assembly elections is being done today. AIR Patna Correspondent reports that altogether 711 candidates have filed their nomination papers for the first phase of elections in the state. Five hundred candidates have filed their nomination papers on the last day of nomination yesterday. For this phase candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till October7.The first phase of election will be held in 47 constituencies of the Assembly on October 21. Nomination for the second phase and third phase is continuing. Tomorrow is the last day of nomination for the second phase. The Congress party has released the third list of 42 candidates. With this the party has so far cleared the names of 167 candidates. This time the party has decided to contest on all 243 assembly seats. The NCP has released the third list of 48 candidates. With this the party has so far announced the name of 81 candidates. The Rastriya Janata Dal (RJD) has also released the list of 60 candidates. With this the party has so far cleared the name of 125 candidates. Opposition leader Rabari Devi has been declared candidates from Raghopur and Sonepur assembly constituencies.
