It came following reports regarding an NGO collecting voter data in Bengaluru city under the garb of voter awareness activities by way of a house-to-house survey in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) area.&nbsp; Congress and others had approached the Commission over the issue.<br />''<br />''The poll body has also extended the period of claims and objections under Special Summary Revision by 15 days till the 24th of next month in the areas.&nbsp; <br />''<br />''Highlighting that the criminal investigation is already in progress in the matter, it directed all officials to ensure that no direct or indirect use of illegally collected documents or data takes place. Special officers from outside the BBMP will be appointed for overseeing the purity of electoral rolls. The Commission also ordered to suspension&nbsp;of two Additional District Election Officers in the matter.&nbsp;</span><br />
