In West Bengal, the Election Commission has asked the District Administration to execute pending non-bailable arrest warrants ahead of Assebmly polls in the State. The Deputy Election Commissioner, Mr. Vinod Zutshi who is currently touring different districts of the State to review the election preparedness instructed the authority to execute the pending warrants and to recover illegal arms and ammunition on top priority to ensure free and fair polls. Mr. Zutshi is now meeting the district admnistation of Hooghly, East Midnapore and Howrah districts in Chinsurah to take stock of the election preparedness.
