The Election Commission has asked Civil Aviation authorities in Bihar to thoroughly check helicopters and aircrafts before they take-off for campaigning.Chief Election Commissioner SY Quraishi said in Bhagalpur that it was brought to his notice that these aircrafts are also being misused for carrying huge amount of cash and illegal items by candidates.The Chief Election Commissioner said the Civil Aviation Department has also been directed to ensure checking of helicopters and aircraft at every stop during the course of campaign.
