Election Commission, EC, has asked all political parties to refrain from using provocative language in speeches during campaigning for Assembly polls in Bihar. In an advisory issued today, the Commission categorically instructed political leaders and candidates that votes should not be sought on caste or religious lines. It said no personal attack should be made and the dignity of women should not be compromised with during campaigning.<br/><br/>The State Election Department has sent reports and video clips of alleged provocative speeches in Begusarai and Patna recently made by BJP Chief Amit Shah, RJD President Lalu Prasad and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, campaigning has reached its peak in many parts of the states including Munger where elections will be held during first phase on Monday.
