The Election Commission has appointed additional 17 observers for last phase of elections in West Bengal tomorrow. One observer will be deputed in each 17 constituency. Elections will be held in 17 Parliamentary seats covering 7 districts North and South 24 Paraganas, Nadia, Murshidabad, East and West Midnapur and in Kolkata. The State Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Sunil Gupta told AIR that all arrangements have been completed to ensure free and fair voting. Polling personnel have already started reaching to their destinations. Over 2 crore 55 lakhs 75 thousands electorates will determine the political fate of 188 candidates. More than 31 thousand polling booths have been opened in the 7 districts. Unprecedented security arrangements have been made for peaceful polling.
