Election Commission has announced the schedule for bye election of a Rajya Sabha seat from Gujarat. <br/><br/>The notification for the election has been issued today and last date for filing of nominations is 15th of this month. <br/><br/>Last date for withdrawal of candidature is 18th and polling will be held on 25th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. <br/><br/>According to an Election commission communique, the election process for the seat has to be completed by 1st of March. <br/><br/>The bye election to the council of states from Gujarat is to fill up the vacancy due to the death of sitting member of the House, Shri Suryakantbhai Acharya on 21st of December.
