Election Commission on Friday announced biennial elections to three seats of Rajya Sabha from Gujarat and six seats from West Bengal. <br/><br/>The term of members including Union Minister Smriti Irani, Congress leader Ahmed Patel, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien are coming to an end on 18th of next month.<br/><br/>The Commission also announced bye election to one seat of Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh which was vacated due to the death of Union Minister Anil Madhav Dave.<br/><br/>The notification for the polls will be issued on 21st of this month and nominations can be filed till 28th of July. Polling will take place on 8th of August and counting will be held on the same day.
