East Bengal has lifted the Federation Cup Football. In the final played at Guwahati on Sunday, it defeated Lajong FC of Shillong 3-nil after a tie breaker. Yusif Yakubu, Nirmal Chhetri and Sanju Pradhan scored for the Kolkata outfit in the penalty shootout after the stipulated 90 minutes as well as the extra-time failed to determine the champion of the prestigious tournament.
