East African Al-Qaeda head killed in a shoot out in Mogadishu

The head of the Al Qaeda in East Africa, Fazal Abdullah Mohammed, has been killed in a shoot out in the Somali capital Mogadishu. Country's transitional government said DNA test confirmed his death which happened last week. Fazal Abdullah Mohammed was accused of masterminding the 1998 attacks on American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. The US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton said in Tanzania that Fazal Abdullah Mohammed's death is a significant blow to Al Qaeda and its extremist allies.
