Union Minister for Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu has informed that Ease of Approval reform will be implemented by next month to help companies in housing sector to get quick approvals. Speaking after inaugurating Real Estate Developers of India CREDAI conference in Hubli today, the minister said any clearance for housing project will be given within 60 days or else it will be deemed to be given. <br/><br/>He assured real estate sector that Real Estate Regulation Authority is meant to regulate and not to strangulate this sector. He added that Real Estate Bill aims at protecting the interests of the consumers. Speaking earlier in the presentation on Smart city, the minister said that smart cities once developed should act as light houses for all other cities to develop on similar lines. <br/><br/>Saying that waste to compost and waste to electricity generation will receive fresh impetus, Venkaiah Naidu informed that a meeting of city policy makers and implementers will be called shortly to discuss modalities for speeding up infrastructure projects. During his visit to Hubli, the Union Minister also inspected Bus Rapid Transit Service project under implementation with World Bank assistance.
