The Chinese President Hu Jintao has described Wednesday's earthquake in the north-western province of Qinghai as a huge calamity. He is returning home early from an overseas trip.The Prime Minister Wen Jiabao has arrived in Yushu, near the border with Tibet and promised all out efforts to save lives. He has postponed a visit to South East Asia because of the earthquake China now says 760 people died and 11,477 were injured when the tremor hit Yushu County early on Wednesday, while 243 remain missing.
