In Assam, an earthquake measuring six point four (6.4) magnitude rocked Guwahati and its neighbouring areas at 19.23 hours this evening. The epicenter of the quake is said to be the border areas of India and Myanmar. AIR Guwahati Correspondent reports that cracks developed in several high-rise buildings following the moderate intensity jerks which continued for around 30 seconds. There was, however, no immediate report of casualty from anywhere in the State.
