Earthquake hits Hindukush region in Afghanistan; Tremors felt in India

A high-intensity earthquake struck the Hindukush region in Afghanistan today, tremors of which were felt in several parts of North India including Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi. According to the India Meteorological Department, the earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter Scale hit Afghanistan at around 3.35 PM. <br/><br/>However, no immediate loss of life or property was reported. Tremors were also felt across the border in Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad Peshawar and Sargodah. The quake was also felt in the Gilgir-Baltistan region, Pakistan occupied Kashmir and the bordering regions of Afghanistan.
