Earthquake hit New Zealand

An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale struck New Zealand's Southland last night.<br/><br/>The New Zealand Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences said the quake struck at 7:28 p.m. (local time) at a depth of 33 kms. <br/><br/>The quake was epicentered about 360 km southwest of the South Island city of Invercargill.<br/><br/>There are no immediate reports of any damage or injuries.
