The Earth hour is being celebrated in India from 8:30 to 9:30 P M today. During this period lights will be switched off by individuals, communities and organizations to help address the impact of climate change which is earth's biggest environmental challenge as of now. <br/><br/>Be an Earth Hour Superhero is the campaign of Earth Hour India. It focuses on inspiring individuals, corporates and other organizations to become superheroes for the planet, undertaking five simple actions and lending their voice to the world's largest grassroots movement for the environment. <br/><br/>2017 marks the tenth anniversary of Earth Hour which started as a symbolic event in 2007. Some of the organizations supporting the campaign include the Delhi Metro, BSES, the Taj Group of Hotels and Times Media.
