Jharkhand seems to be heading for hung assembly again. Trends from 81 constituencies out of 81 available after fifth round of counting indicate that no alliance or party may be able to secure majority. The Congress and its alliance are leading in 27 and BJP alliance in 21.

JMM candidate Simon Marandi was ahead of his Congress rival in Littipara while sitting RJD member Annapurna Devi was leading in Kodarma. Geeta Koda, wife of Madu Koda was leading from Jagannathpur constituency.
JVM candidate Chandrika Mahtha was leading in Jamua constituency while Sudha Choudhary of JD(U) was ahead in Chhattarpur constituency.
