External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today met visiting Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi in New Delhi. The two leaders discussed issues of mutual interest. Mr Yi is in India to attend Russia, India and China, RIC, the foreign ministerial meeting which will take place in New Delhi shortly. The meeting will review global and regional issues of mutual interest including trade, connectivity and terrorism as well as discuss trilateral exchanges and activities. A joint communique is expected to be released following the meeting. <br/><br/>Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov who is also in New Delhi to take part in the meeting will meet Mrs Swaraj in a short while from now. Earlier, he called on President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhawan this morning. During the visit, Mr Lavrov is delivering a public lecture at Vivekanand International Foundation on the subject 'Global Affairs and new vistas of Russia-India cooperation'. Further, Mr Wang would be gracing an India-China Cultural evening being organized at Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra.
