External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar has noted that India had a feeble voice at the global level when he joined the Foreign service 40 years ago. Speaking at an event to mark the launch of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in Bengaluru, the External Affairs minister said, the strong leadership provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the world take notice of India.<br />''<br />''Saying that the foreign policy has crucial bearing on our daily life, Dr. Jaishankar said, nationalistic interests, development and our approach to international issues have a deep impact on domestic circumstances. He noted that the Government displayed its capabilities by evacuating 70 lakh Indians in distress abroad.<br />''<br />''The Union Miniter said, it has also safeguarded the interests of 12 lakh Indian students studying abroad. He further said, the developed countries were impressed by the Covid pandemic management done by India.<br />''<br />''He also pointed out that India could procure oil at a lower cost even during the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war, which he stressed is a reflection of India's successful foreign policy.
