<span style="color: #222222;">External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishnkar today said that India is strongly against the conflict and in the age of dialogue and diplomacy, India has chosen the side of peace. He said, India's approach is guided by its national beliefs and value systems as well as its national strategy.Replying to a discussion on Ukraine situation, the Minister informed the Lok Sabha that he supports conducting an independent investigation with respect to the killings that took place in Bucha.<br />''<br />''The External Affairs apprised the house that energy flows continue to flow in the European market and measures were taken to insulate fertilisers market. The minister said he believes it should adhere to four elements. First, in terms of diplomacy India advocates an immediate cessation of violence. The minister informed the House that Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to both countries in this regard.<br />''<br />''On humanitarian assistance, Dr  Jaishankar told the house 90 tonnes of relief material in underway. He said, India will work with the international community to soften the economic impact.<br />''<br />''Saying Food security is another matter of concern, the minister said India's export with respect to basmati, non-basmati, sugar and wheat have gone up.  He told the house that India would step up for global demand for food. On the issue pertaining to the supply of edible oil, Dr Jaishankar informed the House that India's commercial diplomacy is trying to help the common people of the country.<br />''<br />''The minister said the conflict in Ukraine has had significant consequences for the global economy and for Indian economy also. He said, like all countries, India also assessing the implications and deciding what is best for country's interest. The minister said India's approach will be to promote dialogue to end the conflict and mitigate economic distress for itself and the world.</span><br />
