External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar has asserted that a global consensus regarding treating terrorism as a challenge for all should be taken up on a priority basis. He said that it has been far too long that terrorism has been treated as a problem of only those directly impacted from it.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Addressing the 14th annual Conference of the Institute for National Security Studies, Israel, Dr. Jaishankar said that with the new administration taking office in Washington DC, it has become natural for the global community to reflect on the changes that it portends. He said, the priorities of the Joe Biden administration would help shape a new global agenda, adding that at the centre of which should be a recognition of the indivisibility of common existence and challenges. Dr. Jaishankar added that climate change, pandemics and terrorism would surely rank foremost in the new US policies.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The External Affairs Minister also underlined the need of strengthening multilateralism in order to effectively address common global issues. He said reforming the architecture and the working of the international organisations is in our common interest.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Asserting America's return to the Paris Climate Agreement as a step widely welcomed step, Dr. Jaishankar added that India remains committed to its beliefs of ramping up renewable energy targets, expanding forest cover, enhancing bio-diversity and focussing on effective water utilisation. The External Affairs Minister noted that combating pandemics will dominate the global agenda in the coming days.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He added that such scenarios demand greater inter dependability and a far generous approach. Dr. Jaishankar said, India has always remained consistent in its approach of reaching out to the global community even in the toughest of times. He said that soon after the country started the mass vaccination drive at home, it started supplying the Indian vaccines to the immediate neighbours which is also expected to cover other partner countries in the coming days.&nbsp;</span><br />
