Distribution of educational scholarships in Maharashtra has gone on-line. Member of Maharashtra State SC/ST Commission, C L Thul has said that students belonging to SC, ST, Nomadic Tribes, OBC and Special Backward Class categories and getting financial assistance for their post-matriculation education under different Government schemes will now get the aid money through e-scholarship facility. He was speaking at a function organised to launch e- scholarship facility in Gondia on Friday. Gondia has become the first district in Nagpur division to get this scheme.E-scholarship will help eligible students in receiving the scholarship amount at the earliest. Hence they will be able to deposit their examination fees on time. Mr. Thul said besides speedy distribution, the new facility will bring transparency in the execution of student welfare schemes.
