The Deputy Governor of Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province has been killed in a suicide attack. Officials said a suicide bomber attacked Abdul Latif Ashna's convoy as he was being driven to work. His spokesman said a suicide bomber on a motorcycle slammed into his car killing the Deputy Governor. Three of his bodyguards have been injured in the attack.
