Dust storm eases heat wave in northern India

Dust storm provides respite from the heat wave in northern parts of the country.<br/> <br/>In Uttar Pradesh, the day’s temperature has dropped by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius across the state bringing much awaited relief to people .<br/><br/>The temperature remained between 22 to 27 degrees Celsius at 8:30 this morning in various districts of the state. The sky is mainly cloudy in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Bahraich and Bareilly. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that, the farmers have already started sowing paddy in Mahrajganj and Siddharthanagar districts as the weather is favourable in the foothills of Himalaya.<br/><br/>In Himachal Pradesh, after a record maximum temperature of 32.4 degree celsius on Thursday, while on Friday there is a respite from heat and the temperature. The temperature has dipped down by 2 to 5 degree celcius.<br/><br/>In Punjab and Haryana, People got relief from scorching heat on Friday, following windstorms and thunderstorms with light rain in the isolated areas of both states.<br/><br/>On Thursday, Hisar, hottest in Haryana has also recorded 43.5 degree celsius around five degree less than before.<br/><br/>On Friday, in Hisar minmum temperature is recorded at 33.7 degree celsius.<br/><br/>In Chandigarh minimum temperature was 30.4 degree celsius whereas in Amritsar in Punjab minimum temperature is recorded at 31.7 degree celsius on Friday.<br/><br/>In Rajasthan, temperature have decreased by 5 to 7 degree Celsius due to dust storm in the state, but the impact of heat is still continuing on Friday. At Sriganganagar maximum temperature was 41 degree and at Jaipur 38 degree celsius in the morning hours.
