Dussehera festival, marking the triumph of good over evil is being celebrated throughout the country today with great enthusiasm and religious fervour.

The President, the Vice President, the Prime Minister and Congress President Sonia Gandhi have greeted the nation on the occasion. In his message, Mr. Mukherjee said, he has great pleasure in extending warm greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens on the joyous occasion of Dussehra. The Vice President said, the festival unites the people in a spirit of brotherhood and amity. In his message, Dr Manmohan Singh said the festival is celebrated all over the country in various forms to commemorate the victory of Lord Ram signifying the victory of good over evil. The Prime minister wished the festival may bring peace, happiness and prosperity to all. In her message, Ms. Sonia Gandhi said this is an important festival that reflects the pluralistic culture of the country.
