Known for its unique deity culture & tradition the weeklong Kullu Dussehra is underway for the last thee days where more than 200 deities present to participate in the festival. The festival will continue till 30th of this month. AIR correspondent reports that a good number of foreigner and domestic tourists have arrived in Kullu to see the event which is being celebrated for the last over 400 years since the time of Raja Jagat Singh. Kullu Dussehra has its own significance. No effigy of Ravana and his brothers are burnt during the festival. Cultural programmes are also being organized during evenings in which culture troupes from across the country perform .Culture troupe from Russia has also presented their programme on the opening day. This time Dussehra is being celebrated amidst election and no political party is allowed to carry the poll campaign in the mela venue.
