Delhi University's Miranda House has set up a centre for Northeast studies which will focus on scientific research and education outreach on various aspects of biodiversity and sustainable development in the region. The centre is established in association with the Institute of Bio-Resources and Sustainable Development. <br/><br/>Inaugurating the Centre for Northeast studies, Manipur Governor Najma Heptullah yesterday said that the Centre will create a better research-based understanding of the ethos, challenges and opportunities in the Northeastern states.
