<span style="color: #222222;">During the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration to commemorate 75 years of independence, special focus has been given to commemorate heroes of freedom struggle. This was stated by the  Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Kumar Mishra in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.<br />''<br />''He said steps were taken to preserve the memories of freedom fighters including Conservation Plan of Cellular jail in Andaman, raising of Martyr's Column, setting up of Galleries displaying the photographs and write-ups supported with archival documents and erecting of Eternal flames in memory of sacrifices of heroes of the freedom struggle. The Minister said that the 'Dictionary of Martyrs of India's freedom struggle from 1857 to 1947' published by Ministry of Culture has recorded the names of freedom fighters.</span><br />
