In Jharkhand, the festivity of Durga Puja concludes today with idol immersions. In capital Ranchi, the idol procession has started and will conclude around 5 in the Thursday evening.Major lakes, dams and rivers are marked for idol immersion. The procession of different Puja Committees will pass through marked routes. Since a large number of people join the procession, police and administration has made all necessary arrangements.Special attention has been paid to save people from drowning during the immersions. Many interesting ‘Jhanki’ are important feature of the immersion processions. Idol immersions of Goddess Durga have also started in other parts of state like Dhanbad, Chas and Jharia. The administration has issued guidelines for the procession routes and idol immersions.
