The first day's play in the second and final test between India and South Africa at Kingsmead, Durban was called off due to bad light after the play progressed into a little over two sessions today . Electing to bat after winning the toss, India dominated the play as Murali Vijay on 91 and Cheteshwar Pujara with 58 steered the team to a strong position of 181 for 1 at stumps. The only Indian wicket to fall today was that of Shikhar Dhavan who was claimed by Morkel for 29. The first Test of the series had resulted in a draw. This is the last Test match of the legendary South African all rounder Jacques Kallis who announced his retirement from Tests yesterday.
