In Durand Cup football, East Bengal FC began their campaign with a goalless draw against the Indian Navy in a Group B clash at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata yesterday. In their opening match, Hyderabad FC registered a dominating 2-0 win over local favorites Tiddim Road Athletic Union, (TRAU) FC in Group C in Imphal.
