Britain's Andy Murray also reached the pre-quarter finals, beating Australia's Nick Kirgios 6-4, 6-2, 6-3. In the Women's singles Petra Kvitova of Chech Republic and Sara Irani of Italy reached fourth round of the tournament. Kvitova beat Irina Camilia Begu of Romania 6-3, 6-2 while Sara Irani beat Andria Petkovik of Germany 6-3, 6-3 in the third rounds. Top seeded Serena Williams will meet Victoria Azarenka of Belarus later today. The third round matches of Rafael Nadal and David Ferre are yet to begin.
