The 6th annual Dubai International Film Festival will open this evening with the screening of film Nine. This year the legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award during the festival. The eight day long festival. will showcase 168 films from 55 countries including 29 world premiers and 13 international premiers in addition to the first Middle East screening of 76 films.<br/><br/>The Indian films which are part of this festival include Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year, black, Yogi, Kutty Srank (sailor of hearts), Aval Peyar Tamilarasi (Her name is Tamilarasi), Well done Abba, The other song and Silsila.<br/><br/>A slew of Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities will also be present during the DIFF ceremonies. Award-winning actor Mammootty, artist and director M.F. Hussein along with the first family of bollywood films, the Bachchans, will represent the Indian film industry in the festival.
