To address the issues concerning the future of renewable and alternative energy and oil and gas markets, the Supreme Council of Energy of Dubai today announced that Dubai Global Energy Forum 2011 will be held from 17 to 19 April next year.Announcing this in a press conference in Dubai today, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Energy Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum said that the Forum will focus on major topics that will address effective policies in the field of energy, future outlook of renewable and alternative sources of energy and methods of exploring them.The session will also discuss nuclear energy’s contribution to sustainable development. He added that the Forum aims to provide a platform for a select group of energy experts and decision makers to exchange views on the different policies of energy, both regionally and internationally, from technical, commercial, financial and regulatory viewpoints.Speaking on the occasion the Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council of Energy, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer informed that the three day conference, which is organised after every two years will see 1500 participants across the globe including 10 official speakers, CEO’s and researchers.
