In Badminton Asia Championship, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have entered the final of Men's Doubles, ensuring at least a silver medal for India. Their opponents Lee Yang and Wang Chilin of Chinese Taipei retired during the second game of the Semifinal match. The Indian duo won the first game 21-18. The final scores were 21-18, 13-14.
The Rankireddy-Shetty pair defeated the seasoned Indonesian pair of Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan in the quarterfinal in straight games yesterday.
 
The duo is the lone survivors in the competition as P.V. Sindhu and HS Prannoy lost their singles Quarter Final matches yesterday.
