DU consitutes committee to probe mishandling of Cobalt 60

University of Delhi has constituted a three member committee to probe the mishandling of radioactive substance Cobalt 60. <br/><br/>The University Vice Chancellor, Deepak Pental today admitted the lapse and took moral responsibility for the accident. He said that the University will provide compensation to those affected by the radiation leakage. He claimed that the University miscalculated the life of the radioactive substance and auctioned it off. He said that the government is already investigating the matter and there is a need to reach the bottom of the lapse.<br/> <br/>
