The Government is considering to set up a central drug procurement agency to overcome its shortage in the country.

Replying to a question in Lok Sabha today, Health Minster Ghulam Nabi Azad said a committee has been formed to suggest the modalities.

He hoped that the proposed drug procurement agency will be in place by the year-end.
