DRS issue: ICC not to take any action against Kohli, Smith

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided not to press charges against Australian skipper Steven Smith, Indian captain Virat Kohli, or any other player in connection with the Umpire Decision Review System or DRS incident during the Bengaluru Test.In a statement, ICC Chief Executive David Richardson said, no further action will be taken against any player adding that they would encourage both teams to focus their energies on the third Test in Ranchi next week.ICC's statement came after BCCI and Cricket Australia released statements standing by their respective teams.Following India's win in Bengaluru Test, Kohli had said, Australia took help from their dressing room at least thrice before deciding on DRS reviews. The Indian skipper said, he told the umpires on two occasions, before the third time when Smith looked towards the dressing room after asking non-striker Peter Handscomb when given out lbw. The umpires intervened immediately, and sent Smith on his way.Smith had termed his action in seeking an opinion from his dressing room as brain fade.
