In Pakistan, at least 20 suspected militants were killed today in a US drone attack in a tribal area near the Afghan border. Authorities said drone-fired missiles targeted the suspected insurgents early today in North Waziristan. The area is a stronghold of al-Qaida and Taliban fighters.
