Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has conducted simultaneous searches at various locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh over the last weekend and apprehended ten people including a US citizen who were allegedly involved in the manufacturing and sending couriers of narcotics illegally.
The Delhi zonal unit of the (DRI) sources said that narcotic drugs worth Rs 20 crore were allegedly being shipped out in glucose and milk packets.
The sources added that Firdosh Mukaddam, a US green card holder, has been arrested by the agency from Mumbai and is considered a crucial link in the case.
A special Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court in New Delhi remanded the 10 people in 14 days judicial custody after DRI sleuths brought them from various places.
