Dreaded Lashkar-e-Toiba militant shot dead in Kishtwar

In Jammu and Kashmir, Security Forces on Thursday achieved a major success when they shot dead dreaded Lashkar-e-Toiba militant and his accomplice in Kishtwar district of Jammu division. According to Inspector General of Police, Jammu division, Mr. Dilbag Singh the slain militants identified as Habib Gujjar and Irshaad were active in Doda and Kishtwar districts of Jammu division from the last several years. Habib Gujjar was Chief of Lashkar outfit for Doda and Kishtwar districts and was involved in killing of three innocent persons, besides, several attacks on Security Forces. He had led loose a reign of terror in the entire Doda and Kishtwar districts and was instrumental in luring several youth of the area into militancy. Mr. Dilbag Singh said that with the killing of Habib Gujjar, who was the longest surviving militant in the area, the entire network of Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit has been wiped out from the twin districts of Doda and Kishtwar. One AK 47 Rifle, ammunition, maps and letter heads of Lashkar were recovered from the possession of slain militants.
